SUMMER SKILL DEVELOPMENT
The summer is the time for athletes to improve on, master and acquire new skills to add to their already existing repertoire of skills. In preparation of the upcoming season, Legacy Cheerleading will be offering both stunting and tumbling classes for all athletes, experienced, new or who are just curious about our sport.

July Skill Development is every Sunday and Wednesday starting July, 3rd to July 27th!
August Skill Development is every Sunday and Wednesday Starting August 7th to August 31st!
5: 30 - 6:45 - Level 1
This is geared toward athletes who had limited or no experience with cheerleading stunts. We will work on entry level skills and the basic techniques required to move on to more difficult stunts.
6:45 - 8:00 - Level 2
Level 2 stunting is where we introduce extended stunts and entry to twisting skills. These athletes will have had experience with stunting previously and are looking to increase there skill set. We will work on everything from prep level libs to half- extensions. Come prepared to work hard at new exciting skills!
7:45 - 9:00 - Level 3 & Up
Highly skilled/Extensive Experience required. These athletes are those who have experience at Level 3 or higher. We will be working on extended lib skills and the many mounts, dismounts and transitions allowed at level 3 and above. Groups will be designed based on level experience and athletes should expect to work on perfecting old skills/techniques while learning new ones!
**Athletes who can attend placements with an established group will find speed of progression to be increased as consistency in grouping helps streamline the learning process.**
4:00 - 5:00 - Basics
Requirements: No experience necessary!
Learn to strengthen your basic tumbling skills, body awareness, technique and strength. This is everything from forward rolls to back limbers. Athletes who are working on back limbers will also be learning progressions for back handsprings.
5:00 - 6:00 - Back Handsprings + Series back Handsprings
Requirements: Athletes must have a standing back handspring
With the focus on increasing explosive power in both standing and running tumbling, athletes will master back and front handsprings. In this class, we will be working on connecting basic skills to back handsprings such as jump to back handspring. Athletes will also learn proper progeressions for front and back tucks in preparation for the next class!
6:00 - 7:00 - Tucks and Twisting
Requirements: Athletes must have a tuck with spot to attend this class!
Perfecting the front and back tuck, layout and twisting.
